BOSCH ABS Control Module Applications in Volkswagen Vehicles:

Bosch ABS modules are commonly found in 2000-era Volkswagen Passats. The Volkswagen Passat by far suffers the most ABS failures of Bosch 5.3 control modules. If you have a Passat with a lit ABS light, there is a very good chance the control module is the problem. A VW Passat with a failing ABS module will produce a flashing ABS warning light, a solid brake light, and 3 beeping noises. There may also be an ASR light lit and the tachometer (RPM meter) may not work. Additionally, there may be an oil light indicated. The good news is that an ABS module rebuild will solve all of these problems, and we experts at repairing ABS controllers on VW Passats. The only VW control modules we repair and the VW Passat, Eurovan/Transporter (some), Touareg (some) and Phaeton modules. We do not repair Golf or Beetle modules.
Repairable faults include communication faults, wheel speed sensor errors, and brake pressure sensor faults. Fault codes for the return flow pump are not repairable.

The part number of all Bosch 5.3 modules will start with 0 273 004.
The part number of the Bosch pump starts with 0 265.
The official Audi/VW repair kit part number is: 8E0-998-375 / 8E0998375.
BOSCH 5.7 Applications:
We also repair Bosch 5.7 ABS modules from Volkswagen Passats and Phaetons (also found on Bentley cars). These control modules are found on some later model Passats produced after 2001 and all VW Phaetons. We can repair any control module that looks like the one pictured below.
